Why Consign?
It’s easy to consign your gently used furniture, home décor, women and children’s clothing, handbags, shoes, and jewelry at Forget Me Nots of Brandon. Just bring your items to our store and we will inventory them, price them, and display them to sale for sixty days.
We also do all the advertising, and when your items sell, we pay you. It’s hassle free and it saves you from dedicating your time to showing items and opening your home to strangers. Consigning with Forget Me Nots of Brandon means you will never have to wait at home for potential buyers that may or may not show up, you won’t spend a dime on advertising, and you can earn some extra cash. It’s that easy.

When do you accept consignments?
Summer months (June through August) we accept consignment Tuesday through Saturday between 10 AM and 2 PM. All other months during the year, we accept consignments Tuesday through Saturday between 10 AM and 3 PM. We will hand select the items we would like to display on our sales floor and any items deemed not acceptable will be returned to you. Furniture Pick-up service is available for a fee within a 50-mile radius of the store. All pick-ups must be scheduled in advance. Before you bring large/heavy items such as furniture to the store, please send us an image of the item via email. You can send us an email on our Contact Us page. We will review your item for acceptance and reply within 24 to 48 hours.
We also offer appointments for those that cannot make it to our store during our consignment period. Pick-up service is available for a fee within a 50 mile radius of the store. All pick-ups must be scheduled in advance. If you bring large/heavy items such as furniture to the store, it is best that you bring someone to help you offload it or call ahead to be sure we have someone available to assist you.
What is the consignment period?
All items are consigned for a 60 day period. Any unsold items remaining at the end of the contract period may be picked up within 15 days of the contract’s expiration date. It is your responsibility to track the expiration and final pick up date.
We recommend that you call us or visit our store at least 30 days after you drop off your items to inquire about your items and receive an item list. The item list will show what has sold, what hasn’t sold yet, and your pickup date. Any unsold items not picked up at the end of a consignment period will become the property of Forget Me Nots of Brandon and will be ours to sell, dispose or donate.
How am I paid?
When your items sell, 50% of the final selling price is immediately placed in your account to be used as store credit. On the first of each month, you may pick up a check for sales generated in the previous month. If you provide us an e-mail address, we will send you an e-mail before the 10th of each month for any items you sold the previous month.
How are prices set?
Our pricing formula is based on condition, style, finish, color, and, if applicable, what a comparable piece could be purchased for in the current market. The original purchase price and any historical information that you have on the piece are helpful. We also factor in our experience with how similar pieces have sold in the past.
Here at Forget Me Nots of Brandon, we strive to give our consignors a fair return on their items while offering a great value to our shoppers. It is our goal to sell your items within the consignment period; therefore, markdowns will follow a 20% reduction in 30 days (Periodic markdowns and special sales may be applied to your item to ensure a timely sale).
